Sewer Camera Inspection & Lateral Repair in Webster Groves, MO
Webster Groves reimburses part of an approved lateral repair, but the program starts with a step most people skip: having the line cabled first.
Call (314) 916-4983 Request a call backSTL Sewer Camera is a referral service, not a plumbing company. We pass your request to an independent, licensed local sewer contractor, who quotes and does the work.
How the Webster Groves program works
- Have the line cabled first by a plumbing or drain-cleaning company, at your own cost. Sometimes the problem is a clog, not a break.
- If cabling doesn't fix it, submit the application and your most recent cabling bill to Public Works.
- Public Works confirms your real estate taxes are paid, and the City's diagnostic contractor schedules an inspection.
- The City sends a Scope of Work Letter saying whether the lateral is defective and reimbursable.
- You get 3 bids, itemized for materials, equipment and labor, and submit them. After a Bid Approval Letter, work can start.
- After the work, you submit a Completion of Work Statement and the itemized bill, and the City pays your contractor.
Coverage on the City's page: 80% of the lowest bid, up to $3,500 per repair, or up to $8,000 if the repair is in the street. Eligible properties are single-family homes, duplexes and buildings of up to six units (Webster Groves). A 2018 Webster-Kirkwood Times report described a council vote to change the split to 70% City and 30% homeowner (Webster-Kirkwood Times), so confirm the current percentage with Public Works (314-963-5300) before you budget.
